Oxford United’s youngsters will face Huddersfield Town away in the Premier League Cup second qualifying round, open to all under 23 teams.
The U’s enjoyed a fantastic run in the competition last season which included trips away at Swansea City and Wolves and will be looking to improve on their good run this campaign, starting with a tough test against the Terriers, managed by one of the Academy's best ever graduates: Dean Whitehead.
United U23s will enter the competition in the second qualifying round after receiving a bye in the first round. The fixture will be played by the 14th September - we will have full details for you when the date is confirmed.
If the U's win their match against the Terriers they will join Category 1 and 2 sides in a group stage format.
