Anindya is a highly successful businessman who is a long-term friend of United owner Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth and has a wide range of business interests from mining & minerals, oil & gas, property, plantations to media, including Indonesia’s VIVA Group which owns sports broadcaster tvOne, tier 1 Entertainment broadcaster antv and top online portal viva.co.id

Anindya established the Bakrie Center Foundation that has produced hundreds of Indonesia’s leading progressive scholars and leaders, mainly through scholarship programs in collaboration with top universities and leading research centers in Indonesia and worldwide.

He serves as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is also an avid sportsman; he has completed numerous marathons and triathlons globally. Additionally, he is the elected Chairman of the Indonesian Aquatics Federation and organized the Asian Games 2018 —the world’s largest event after the Olympics—in Jakarta.

He joins Tiger, Erick Thohir, Zaki Nuseibah and Horst Geicke on the Board at the club and Tiger told us

“I have known Anin for a long time and he is a good man as well as being hugely successful in business all around the World. We have assembled a very strong board now and we all share the same passion for sport and for football in particular. Anin has been to a couple of games already and loved what he saw.

Anindya said “I love the city of Oxford and was intrigued when Tiger started to outline his plans for the city’s football club. I went along to the FA Cup game at Brentford and saw a team fighting for everything and a packed away end full of fans who love their club and I knew that day that I would like to be involved in some way. I have great faith in Tiger and together we want to build a successful football team. I will be there to offer any help or guidance he or the Board might need”
