Oxford United are pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Davies as the club’s new Finance Director.
Tim has plenty of experience in professional sport having previously been CEO at Leicester City and Finance Director at the Lawn Tennis Association and joins the club with previous Finance Director Benn Brown stepping down from the role.
Tim told us;
“It is very exciting to be joining Oxford right now when there is a new Board with great plans for the future of the club, on and off the pitch. I have been working at the new training ground this week and I think that facility in itself shows the way that things are being done for the long term benefit of the club.”
Managing Director Niall McWilliams welcomed Tim while also paying tribute to the departing Benn Brown.
“First and foremost I want to thank Benn on behalf of everyone at the club. He has been brilliant; totally professional and also a good friend to everyone here and we wish him well for the future.
“There were some extremely strong candidates to replace him but Tim has worked at the very highest level, not just in football but in professional sport and in the wider business world. He will work closely with myself, Tiger, the Board and all departments of the club and we look forward to building on the very strong foundations that are already in place.”
