Help Needed After Man City Incident

Club works with authorities after post game incident

8 October 2018

Oxford United have issued the following statement following the home match against Manchester City.

The club is aware of the issues caused by congestion after the match and these issues were immediately reported to the appropriate authorities, who were also in attendance.

We would like to thank supporters for their patience and assure them that their safety is of the utmost importance to the club.

We have been working closely with the appropriate authorities since the evening of the Manchester City match and we are continuing to do so. Oxfordshire County Council in cooperation with Safety Advisory Group members including the Sports Grounds Safety Authority are to conduct a review to further analyse the contributory factors to the incident, any issues that are required to be addressed and what improvements might be made to prevent a recurrence.

Any supporters who attended the match and would like to provide information to Oxfordshire County Council, please do so direct to duty.officer@oxfordshire.gov.uk

Any information provided to the club will be passed on to Oxfordshire County Council.
