Tiger Updates on Manager Situation

New Chairman brings us up to date

1 March 2018

The search for a new Manager at Oxford United continues, with new Chairman Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth holding interviews with those on the shortlist this week and work going on behind the scenes to find the right person to take over the U's.

Tiger said:

"Things are moving and we are well advanced in the process, but I would just ask fans for a little patience. I have spoken with some very strong candidates since I took over on Monday, people I believe would be a great fit for the club.

"Appointing a Manager remains our number one priority. I hoped we could conclude things quickly, but if it takes a little longer to get the right man then I am prepared to wait. My feeling at the moment is that we will be able to make an announcement next week but in the meantime I have every confidence in Derek Fazackerley and Chris Allen as they prepare the team for a very important home game against Fleetwood."
