There was more success for the Walking Football team again last week when Oxford United’s Over 60’s team won the Vale of White Horse & South Oxfordshire Tournament.
Six other teams entered this tournament, Brackley A, Abingdon A, Wiltshire, Brackley B, Abingdon B and Highworth. After two wins, two draws and two losses in the group stages. Oxford got their act together went on a winning streak and won their quarter final match and semi final match on penalties.
In the final Oxford United- as you might expect - beat Wiltshire 2 -0.
Man of the match was Mike Whitehead who scored an incredible eight goals throughout the competition.

The club now have two types of sessions.
Thursday evenings is the faster walking football and Saturday mornings is the slower form.
