PREVIEW Charlton Athletic v Oxford United

A full guide to Saturday's Sky Bet League 1 game at the Valley

2 February 2018

Derek Fazackerley takes charge of the U's in the league for the first time as the sides meet for the third time this season.

United have plenty of choices to make with five new signings plus key players returning from injury. Rob Dickie, Cameron Brannagan and  Isaac Buckley-Ricketts  have all arrived in January and were joined this week by right-back Todd Kane and left-back Ashley Smith-Brown.

Dickie returns to the squad after being cup tied in the Checkatrade Trophy last week while Brannagan could be involved for the first time after picking up an ankle injury shortly after signing from Liverpool.

Alex Mowatt is back in contention after cracking a bone in his hand during the last league game against Bury while Wes Thomas and Joe Rothwell have both trained all week after recovering from hamstring injuries. Both will be available as will Jon Obika who was taken off at Chelsea last week as a precaution after his hamstring tightened up.

See Derek Fazackerley talking about the game, plus Simon Eastwood in a great interview about staying with the U's as well as skipper John Mousinho's thoughts, all in iFollow right now.
