Oxford United’s under 18s have a local derby on Saturday when they welcome Swindon Town to Abingdon United.
The youth team enjoyed a win over Cheltenham Town last time out and now face the Robins at home, as coach Leon Blackmore-Such told us
“It’s a great game for us. There is obviously the rivalry to add a bit of spice but it also means we have to make the lads aware that the fans will be keeping an eye on our result even more than usual, but that they have to stay focussed and stick to the way we have been playing.
“We have had one or two injuries and suspension but things are settling down well and hopefully we can get a win on Saturday.”
The game takes place at Northcourt Road, home of Abingdon United. Kick off is 11am and admission is free.
