Oxford United look to bounce back this Saturday when they welcome Walsall to Grenoble Road in Sky Bet League 1.
The U’s were beaten by Blackpool on Saturday but midfielder Joe Rothwell believes they can show a positive reaction when they take on the Saddlers this weekend
“It’s all about how we react.” Rothwell told us this morning. “Everyone was disappointed after Saturday. We came up against a decent side who like to play football and maybe they caught us by surprise a little bit with two early goals. By the time we actually got started in the second half it was too late.
“I think in the other seven games we have done really well as a team and we are probably a bit unlucky not to have got slightly better results and a few more points on the board”
“I just think there are a couple of games already that you would look at and we could have won, but that’s true in every season so you can’t dwell on it. It’s not been a bad start, and we have a decent platform to build from. We will analyse and see where we can improve and then try and put that right against Walsall.”
