Clotet Era Begins

New Manager set for first day

3 July 2017

The Pep Clotet era begins for Oxford United today with the Spanish Manager taking charge for the first time since his appointment on Saturday.

The former Swansea and Leeds United Assistant Manager will meet the players and coaching staff at lunchtime before overseeing his first training session this afternoon. He will then take his first full day of training on Tuesday before chatting to the media on Wednesday - look out for an exclusive video in iFollow.

The week is building towards the first friendly of the summer when the U’s travel across town to take on Oxford City on Saturday. They then fly out to Portugal on Sunday for a week of intensive training where they will play friendlies against Championship sides Middlesbrough and Hull City. They then return for home friendlies against Brenford and Birmingham City: book your place for Pep’s first home games.

Saturday’s game at Oxford City promises to be a great occasion with the new partnership between the clubs being formally launched by Chairman Darryl Eales at 1pm.

Book your tickets HERE and you go into the draw to win a new away shirt: to be worn for the first time on Saturday…
