Sponsors Liontrust have a day to remember as U's beat Newcastle

Oxford United’s partnership with Liontrust  has been a  great  success over the last two seasons and Saturday saw Liontrust truly nail their colours to the mast with the unveiling of a huge new advertisement at one end of the stadium.

The Liontrust advertisement takes up all of the fence at the West End of the ground and proved to be a lucky omen for the U’s as they completed a 3-0 win over Championship high-flyers Newcastle United.

Managing Director Greig Box Turnbull said:

“It is great to have Liontrust as our main sponsors and to see them taking it to a new level. Not only did we unveil the new advertisement, which looks stunning, but Liontrust were also match sponsors.  It was a memorable afternoon and Simon Eastwood’s penalty save at the ‘Liontrust End’ proved to be a pivotal moment.

“We’d like to thank Liontrust for their continued support and backing and look forward to many more great days alongside them. The way the partnership is growing really demonstrates the club works with sponsors to help them achieve their objectives. ”
