Following the huge success of the launch of the Covered Market shop it will be opening every Saturday.
This Saturday the store will be open from 10am-2pm in the lead up to the match against Shrewsbury Town.
The shop has been open since this summer and was established to take advantage of the strong flow of passing trade with tourists, and to be more accessible to the public on a week day, when most couldn’t make the journey to the stadium shop. Following the success of the covered market it was decided that the shop should be open for match days.
Claire Theobald, Oxford United Head of Retail told us
“The new shop has been doing really well and having opened on weekdays we now have the staff available to extend that to Saturdays. Many supporters as well as a large number of tourists to the city, pass through the covered market in the run up to games and hopefully being open on Saturday mornings helps us spread the word even more.”
Merchandise in the shop currently includes pencil cases, bags and other items which would be perfect for back to school week. Whilst other items include personalised shirts, training gear and match day tickets for home games at the Kassam.
