U's get set for summer with new kit...
Oxford United will look to the future when they take on Shrewsbury Town in the last scheduled league game of the season.
The U’s will face the Shrews in NEXT season’s kit; the first time ever that the club have unveiled the new kit so early.
Claire Theobald, Head of Retail, told us:
“Talking to fans, a lot of them were saying that they wanted the kit for the summer when they go on holiday or when they head for Portugal for the pre-season tour. That got us thinking: why do we wait until pre-season each year, and why not try something different this time?
“The retail side of things has changed dramatically over the last few years and this is a great way of showing off the new kit. A lot of planning has gone into the day and we are sure fans are going to love the new shirt design.
“The players will wear the new kit for the first time on the last day of the season and the shop will be selling the kit from 9am that morning. It will be a big day for us.”
