Roofe returns to thank the Oxford fans
Saturday's game against Rochdale saw a welcome return for Kemar Roofe who was our Guest of Honour to see United win in dramatic style.Kemar left the U's for Leeds United in the summer but an international break this weekend left him free to come along and enjoy Saturday's game. He was introduced to the crowd at half time and got a magnificent reception from the fans who thanked him for his efforts last season with a standing ovation.
"It was unbelievable" Kemar told us after the game. "I don't like being the centre of attention like that but I wanted to come back and see everyone at the club and thank them for my time here. It is always going to be a special club for me and it was great to see everyone again.
"I wanted to go out and say goodbye to the fans properly but wasn't expecting anything like that reception. I'd like to thank them for that and for everything they did for me during my time there. It is another great memory for me and I am sure the club will continue to go from strength to strength."
