Keeper in squad for Shrewsbury game
Oxford United goalkeeper Jack Stevens has been recalled from his loan spell at Oxford City.
Jack, a first year pro with the U’s, has done well while at Court Place Farm and returns to the U’s as cover for first choice Simon Eastwood, with Benji Buchel currently away on international duty with Liechtenstein.
Goalkeeping coach Wayne Brown, who acted as cover for Eastwood on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge, told us:
“It has been great for Jack to get games and experience at City and we thank them for their help. He has done very well and will come back and be in and around the first team squad here again, starting tomorrow at Shrewsbury.”
