The next two Sundays will see Oxford United Women play two home games as the WSL2 season builds to an exciting conclusion.
Les Taylor’s side welcome Everton to Northcourt Road on Sunday looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at Watford.
“Last week was particularly disappointing” Les told us “because we played well in the first half and got into a 2-0 lead and were very well placed to win the game. We had made a couple of changes to the team and looked really solid as a unit but then lost concentration for just a split second before half time and conceded a goal.
“That obviously changes the team talk for both managers and after the break Watford grew in confidence and came back at us really strongly. We somehow ended up losing 3-2 and need to learn from that second half and not allow a game to slip through our fingers like that again.“
The U’s take on an Everton side looking to close the gap on leaders Yeovil and Sunday’s game shpuld be another entertaining encounter.
Kick off is at 2pm at Northcourt Road and admission is £5 for adults, £10 for Family Ticket (2 Adults & 2 Under 16s)
The following Sunday should be a great day out as well when we host the club’s Family Fun Day with even more activities than usual plus the men’s first team squad there to meet fans and sign autographs before the game against London Bees.
