TEAM NEWS
Oxford United play their final home pre-season friendly of the summer tonight as they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the Kassam Stadium (7.45pm).

The U's have a doubt over Alex MacDonald, who is struggling with a hip injury, but Liam Sercombe and Josh Ruffels both return to action after troublesome foot injuries. It's a chance for everyone to force their way into Michael Appleton's starting XI for the first league game against Chesterfield next week, and Michael told Yellow Player HD:

"Everyone still has that opportunity, I've certainly not ruled anyone out as yet. It will be a hard game so you get a lot out of it in terms of fitness but it's also a chance for every player to stake their claim and try to impress."

See Michael's thoughts in an exclusive video in Yellow Player HD, where we also have the whole game LIVE.

THE OPPOSITION
Brighton boss Chris Hughton will bring a full-strength squad tonight, following Saturday’s two matches at Luton and Stevenage where he split the squad to allow players to get 90 minutes.

He said, “What I wanted to do was get through the two games, assess the situation and probably take a big group again on Tuesday. A lot of the players have had 90 minutes each and I’ll probably cut that down a bit on Tuesday. It will be very much a first-team squad that goes to Oxford at this moment.”

“You’re always trying to formulate as many combinations as possible. Fortunately for us, we’ve already got a lot of combinations from last season. We’re not fitting in a new team. There are a couple of new individuals like Glenn Murray and Steve Sidwell, but there aren’t many at the moment.
