Crowley heads back to the Gunners
Oxford United can confirm the midfielder Dan Crowley is to return to parent club Arsenal.
Dan, 19, has made 11 appearances for the U’s this season, scoring three times, but a clause in his loan meant a review was due on December 1st and after talks between the clubs Dan will be returning to the Gunners.
Head Coach Michael Appleton said
“He’s a talented player and we thank Arsenal for letting us have him here for half a season or so. Unfortunately for Dan he has not been in the team for a week or two, just as the side has started to get results on a consistent basis.
“Obviously that is a frustrating situation for him and so we have all discussed what the best thing is for him, for us and for Arsenal and the decision was that he goes back to his parent club.
“We thank him for his hard work and his efforts on our behalf and wish him well for the future.”
