Keeper looks for a fresh start in the north

Goalkeeper Max Crocombe has left Oxford United by mutual consent

The New Zealand international keeper has been with the U's since the youth team but struggled for first team appearances over the last two seasons. The arrival of Simon Eastwood alongside Benji Buchel and Jack Stevens meant that Max was told he could find another club and after a successful trial he is set to join Carlisle United.

Head Coach Michael Appleton said

"It's a fresh start for him and we wish him well. At his age he needs to be playing games or involved with the first team and we couldn't promise him that but we hope it works out for him at Carlisle."
