U's bring in Evans from Fulham
Oxford United have strengthened their squad with the addition 20-year-old Jordan Evans who arrives at the Kassam Stadium on a youth loan from Fulham until January 16th.
Originally with Wrexham, Jordan moved to Fulham at 15 and has been part of their youth and development sides. Able to play at left back or on the left side of midfield, Jordan trained with the U’s today and will travel with the squad to Hartlepool tomorrow ahead of Saturday’s game.
Head Coach Michael Appleton welcomed Jordan to the club, saying:
“He’s one we have watched a few times and he has always done well in their development side. He can play anywhere on that left hand side and adds balance. He has a really good attitude as well as good ability.
“ It gives us one or two different options over the next couple of months when we have a lot of football to be played at an important time.”
Jordan said
“I’m really looking forward to it. I spoke with Ryan Williams when he was on loan here and he said what a good club it is, and now it’s up to me to try and show what I can do and play my way into a team that is doing very well at the moment.”
