Places availabe as Academy goes from strength to strength
The Oxford United Football & Education Academy is now able to offer extra places across our education programmes for the 2015/16 season.The Academy offers fantastic opportunities for youngsters to combine post-16 study whilst experiencing a professional football development environment.
There are two courses available:
2 Year BTEC Programme
The more academic course of the two on offer which combines an elite football programme alongside a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Excellence & Performance (Equivalent to three A-Levels). The BTEC Nationals in Sport & Exercise Sciences are designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for progression into employment or further educational opportunities.
YDS (1 year)
The more Elite Football course which looks to develop players with the potential to gain a Scholarship at the club. The course will run alongside the Youth Team’s structure and will follow a near-identical training programme. Players will also gain a BTEC Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in Sport. (Worth 1.5 A-Levels). The course offers an opportunity to gain a two-year scholarship with the Oxford United Youth Team.
There are weekly competitive fixtures within a league format against other Football Clubs & Colleges.
The courses are open for application for girls and boys between the ages of 16-19 years.
