Hylton Frustrated as United Face Two Big Home Games

10 March 2015

Striker to miss two games after 10th yellow

Oxford United top scorer Danny Hylton faces a frustrating ten days as he serves a two-game ban.

Hylton collected his tenth yellow of the season during Saturday’s 1-0 win at Bury and must now sit out the two home games against Plymouth on Saturday and Hartlepool next Tuesday evening.

“It’s incredibly frustrating,” he told oufc.co.uk. “I hate missing games, especially with the team on a bit of a roll at the moment and two massive home games coming up. We have gone four games unbeaten and have done really well, so nobody wants to miss matches, especially knowing there are other players desperate for their chance.

“I do think a couple of the yellow cards were maybe a bit harsh but you just have to get on with it.

“We have decent competition for places up front and that is what you need to push you forward. Whoever gets their chance on Saturday will be trying their best to keep hold of that place, so it’s just a case of training hard and being patient for me at the moment. Hopefully I can be available again and ready to play a part in the last nine games of the season."

Tickets are available for both of these massive games for the U’s. Book your place by visiting www.oufctickets.co.uk or calling 01865 337533 to get behind the U’s
