Fans Enjoy Open Training Session

4 August 2015

Open Training Session a great success

Over 300 fans joined the U’s for a brilliant Open Training Session on Monday.

Supporters young and old came along to the Kassam Stadium to see Michael Appleton’s squad go through their first session on the new pitch ahead of their opening league game against Crawley on Saturday.

The training lasted around 90 minutes and after a warm up session the players worked hard in front of an enthusiastic crowd who could also enjoy a series of activities in Olly’s Den. Chairman Darryl Eales and the rest of the Board were on hand to chat with fans who then had half an hour or so to meet the players and have pictures with their heroes, including a giant team picture with fans, staff and players all included.

Skipper Jake Wright told us:

“It was an excellent morning. The training was good and the pitch looks well set for Saturday, and then the enthusiasm from the fans was great as ever. We look forward to seeing them all back here on Saturday for the opening match.”

Tickets are available for Saturday from and by calling 01865 337533
