United in Business

We focus on United's business partners New Driveway Company

As part of Oxford United’s new business club, United in Business, all members have the opportunity to present their businesses to the United fans through our website.  This week’s focus business, and the very first business to sign on the dotted line - New Driveway Company.

The United in Business (UIB) concept was born on the way to Newport County last season when New Driveway Company, Founder, Darren Field drove to South Wales with OUFC Commercial Director, Tony Davison and Paul Charles from Isinglass Consulting.  It became clear that the Oxfordshire business community was crying out for a means to engage with Oxford United and support the club while growing their business.

Tony Davison, commented “We had a concept that we hoped to get off the ground to involve and engage businesses but we were very keen that the development of the club should be done in consultation with the business community.  Darren Field has been a massive factor in driving UIB forward not only by signing up but by referring his key contacts and helping us come up with an attractive and dynamic proposition.”

Darren Field, stated “United in Business has reignited my enthusiasm for Oxford United.  The opportunity to grow an initiative from solid foundations and develop something new and exciting really appealed to me.  The first two UIB events have been fantastic and this is a great opportunity for fans and local businesses to put their money where their mouth is and support the community trust.”

New Driveway Company offer an alternative approach to driveway design. Their highly skilled team can transform any home with sympathetic, exceptional design with the highest quality of materials and workmanship. New Driveway Company, which has recently been awarded “Which Trusted Trader” status, were heavily involved with the club last season and the partnership saw the company sponsor Oxford United’s home goals and United in Business has further developed that partnership.

In just six weeks, United in Business has evolved to nearly 50 members featuring small and large businesses from all over the UK. Darren believes the club can continue to grow and stated “The concept is great and I think the club can grow to over 100 members. To be the first is great, but the main thing for me is supporting the club”
