Early Team news as Oxford United head for Southend United in SkyBet League 2
Alex Jakubiak returns to the United squad as they travel to Southend on Saturday in SkyBet League 2.The on-loan Watford striker scored on his full debut for the U’s last Saturday against Dagenham and then flew north to join the Scotland under 19 squad for their 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic. Jakubiak came on for the last half hour and after being involved again today in a behind closed doors friendly against the same opponents will fly back tonight and report for training tomorrow.
Jon Meades begins a three match suspension for his red card at Cheltenham on Tuesday night, while Danny Rose is doubtful after a cameo appearance as a sub as Whaddon Road ended with him being subbed off near the end after tweaking a hamstring.
