United players visit local clubs

Oxford United will be out and about in the community over the summer as local football clubs wind up their seasons.

Tyrone Marsh visited Thame Boys and Girls last week, and earlier this week Sam Long was at Crendon Corinthians Youth Football Club to hand out trophies at their awards day.

Daniel North, Crendon Corinthians YFC chairman, told us: “I''d like to offer a big thanks to Oxford United for supporting us on our awards day by arranging for Sam Long to join us and present the end of year trophies and special awards to our players.  Sam was a great inspiration as he himself had recently made the jump from a local youth development squad into a professional footballer.  And of course we are very grateful to Sam for giving up his Saturday morning and taking the time to come and support all our young players."

Keep an eye out for United players at local clubs throughout the close season.
