We look ahead to Oxford United's Sky Bet League 2 game at Southend United tonight.
TEAM NEWS
Gary Waddock takes charge of Oxford United for the first time tonight as they head for Roots Hall and the SKY TV cameras.
United's new Head Coach can't wait to get started.
"It has been a busy weekend but I am really excited about the Southend game. I saw the win over Hartlepool on Friday night and the players did really well. A win and a clean sheet is a good base to start from."
Gary met the players for the first time yesterday and now can't wait for the match to come along. "At this stage it is all about results but it would be good to go out there and play decent attacking football. Everyone has made me feel really welcome and I would love get off to a winning start."
Ryan Williams is fit despite picking up a knock in the win over Hartlepool while Michael Raynes returns to the squad after a one game suspension. Tom Newey sits out the second of his three games through suspension.
THE OPPOSITION
Southend will be looking to repeat their 2-0 win at the Kassam Stadium earlier in the season but will again be without striker Barry Corr through suspension.
Luke Prosser is fit following a calf injury, while fellow defender Adam Thompson is close to returning from his own calf problem.
