Burton Preview

7 March 2014

We look ahead as Oxford United welcome Burton Albion

United welcome Burton Albion to the Kassam Stadium tomorrow (3pm) in Sky Bet League 2. Here we present a full guide to the game.

Team News
United welcome Tom Newey back into the squad after his two-game suspension as they welcome the Brewers. Newey missed the games at Morecambe and Rochdale but comes back into the squad to give Mickey Lewis interesting choices, with David Hunt, Jake Wright, Johnny Mullins and Michael Raynes all available.

Andy Whing and Jon Meades are unlikely to feature but could be back for the trip to Chesterfield next weekend.

See Mickey Lewis previewing the game in Yellow Player right now where we also have a great Preview Show featuring Johnny Mullins, Jon Meades, David Hunt and Scott Davies.

The Opposition

Burton, one place and one point ahead of the U's, will be taking nothing for granted according to boss Gary Rowett:

"You would say that, on the whole, we've got players who will relish these types of games and won't be fearful of playing at places like Oxford. We're both in a similar situation. Whichever team is better on the day will come out on top – and we will look forward to it.

"We're at the business end of the season. It won't be long until we're in single figures. Every game we're being judged. It's just the reality of it.

"We'll just control the things in our grasp – our preparation and our performance. If they play better than us, we can't control it. There's no point worrying about the what ifs. Let's go and be as positive as we can be."

Albion have slight fitness concerns over defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (hamstring), winger Zeli Ismail (knock) and striker Gary Alexander (knee). All three, however, are expected to be fit.
