Wycombe Preview

17 January 2014

All the news as Oxford United travel to Wycombe Wanderers in SKYbet league 2.

We look ahead to United's short trip to Wycombe Wanderers this weekend.

TEAM NEWS
Nicky Wroe comes back into the United squad after being ineligible for  Tuesday's trip to Charlton in the FA Cup. Danny Rose, who was an unused substitute, and Dave Kitson, who played the last 15 minutes after coming off the bench, are also expected to feature once more while Ryan Williams gives Manager Chris Wilder another option

THE OPPOSITION

Former Oxford striker Dean Morgan could return for the Chairboys to face his old side, having not played since coming off with a hamstring injury in their Boxing Day defeat to Newport County. Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “He’s touch and go. He was obviously a big factor at the Kassam Stadium earlier in the season – scoring, winning a penalty and then scoring the penalty.

“It’s one of his old clubs and he always seems to do well against his old clubs. We’ll assess him over the next couple of days.”

However, Wycombe will be without 21-year-old midfielder Billy Nott, who was recalled from his loan by parent club Sunderland during the week.
