A full guide as Oxford United take on Bury in Sky Bet League 2

We look ahead to Oxford United's  trip to Bury tonight.

TEAM NEWS
United will wait on the fitness of winger Sean Rigg before naming the side to take on Bury. Rigg is a doubt with a calf injury picked up in Saturday's 2-1 win over Wimbledon but with both David Connolly and Dave Kitson available again there are attacking options for caretaker boss Mickey Lewis. Connolly scored on his debut on Saturday while Kitson is back in full training and came on as a late sub against Wimbledon.

Ryan Clarke, nominated for Sky Bet Player of the Month after going the whole of January without conceding a goal, will be hoping to keep another clean sheet with Michael Raynes in with an outside chance of returning in defence.

See Mickey Lewis previewing the game and talking about the selection options in Yellow Player where we also have a great 15 minute Preview Show featuring Danny Rose, a mystery guest and Manor Ground midfielder Matt Murphy.

THE OPPOSITION

It is a new look Bury side since the arrival of David Flitcroft as Manager. Pablo Mills and Jim McNulty have arrived in defence, Andrew Tutte,Tommy Miller and Chris Sedgwick in midfield while former Northampton striker Clive Platt has come in to attack.

With three wins in their last five games Bury are in good form and Flitcroft gives credit for that to his battling players:

“When you’re building a project you’ve got to look at the short-term and the priority was to bring in experience,” he said.

“When the muck and bullets are flying, sometimes young players can go under, but we have a very good spine and leaders out on the pitch."
