A great day at Kirtlington Golf Club
On Monday, Kirtlington Golf Club played host to the annual Oxford United Golf Day raising money for the Oxford United Youth and Community Trust.
The day recorded a substantial amount for the Community Trust totalling over £2,500. The course was in great condition and with fantastic weather, the day was a great success.
Following registration, coffees and a full English, teams took their place on the course. A number of other competitions took place during the course of the day such as nearest the pin, longest drives and putting green challenge.
24 teams participated from local businesses and Business Development Manager Peter Rhoades-Brown praised everyone for supporting the Trust. He said “It was a really great day and it was brilliant to see so many local business coming together to support Oxford United and ultimately raising a lot of money for the Community Trust including boy and girls academy teams and grassroots football”.
Golfers were then treated to a Q&A with Oxford United players who also supported the day by getting involved in the putting green challenge and answering questions from the golfers. Oxford United Chairman Darryl Eales also played and spoke before the dinner, praising the local business communities’ support to the Trust.
