Forward back in contention as United welcome Rovers
United have been handed a big boost as they prepare to welcome Bristol Rovers to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday with striker Alfie Potter back in full training and likely to be involved again.
Alfie has missed the last four games with a tight hamstring but looked very sharp in training today and should be available again as top of the table United welcome the Pirates.
The U’s will also have striker Dave Kitson in contention while Deane Smalley is fully fit and raring to go. Kitson served a one-game suspension as United won 2-0 at Wimbledon last weekend, while Smalley scored as a sub after missing four games with a knee problem.
With Potter, Kitson and Smalley available and James Constable looking for his 100th goal in United’s colours it gives manager Chris Wilder plenty to think about, although he will have to shuffle things around at the back where Tom Newey is suspended after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season on Saturday.
It promises to be a great afternoon of football, so don’t delay. Call 01865 337533 or visit www.oufctickets.co.uk to book your seat and get behind the U’s.
