The perfect kick off
United fans have given The Big Match the perfect kick off with well over 1,600 tickets snapped up in the two day Boxing Day Bonus period.
The ticket office has been overwhelmed by fans looking to book their place for Boxing Day when United welcome Plymouth Argyle in the first home Boxing Day game for four years.
The clubs marketing manager, Gerald Kelly has commented:
“it is fantastic to see the enthusiasm from fans towards ‘The Big Match’. It has been mentioned a lot since I started here that this is a club with huge potential and the fans are really showing that. Not many clubs would have such loyal fans who buy more than 1,600 tickets within the first 2 days of going on sale. The really interesting thing was seeing the full range of tickets purchased; families are bringing children, students, adults and over 65’s. This shows it really is going to be a great family occasion.”
With the whole ground turning yellow and fireworks to add sparkle it will be Oxford’s biggest Christmas Party and truly promises to be a great occasion for United fans.
