Alloa and Berwick games added to Pre-Season

Oxford United will play two games against Scottish League opponents in pre-season with games at Alloa Athletic and Berwick Rangers added to the schedule.

United begin their pre-season fixtures locally at Ardley on Saturday 6th July. The squad will then head north to a training base near Edinburgh.  They will play Alloa Athletic on Wednesday 10th July (7.30pm). ‘The Wasps’ have enjoyed back to back promotions to reach the First Division of the Scottish League under Paul Hartley.

United will then take on Berwick Rangers of Scottish League Division Three on Saturday 13th July (3pm). Berwick came fourth in the division last season, Glasgow Rangers winning the title, and have an Oxford connection in their ranks with former U’s stopper Ian McCaldon now combining playing with coaching.

The U's then come home and have two exciting home games at the Kassam Stadium against Birmingham City on Saturday 20th July and Coventry City on 27th, with a game at Oxford City on Tuesday 23rd July in between.

An Oxford United XI will travel to Truro on Monday 29th while a final game will see a United XI at Didcot Town on Wednesday 7th August.

Prices and ticket details for all pre-season matches will be announced closer to the games.
