Open Training Session and Ground Tours to enjoy this summer

This summer we are offering fans the chance to get closer to the players than ever before with two specially arranged events.

On Tuesday August 13th United will be holding an Open Training Session for all season ticket holders and Junior Yellows.

This will give fans the opportunity to visit the training ground at Oxford Sports and Social Club  on Roman Way and see what happens on a usual training day. There will be full training sessions for the first team, the youth team and the goalkeepers and the opportunity for fans to meet the players and management after training for a chat about the season ahead.

The day will start at 10am and is free to attend provided you are a current season ticket holder or a member of the United Juniors for the coming season.

Having met the players why not come along on Friday that week for the first of a series of guided tours behind the scenes at the ground?

On Friday 16th August there will be tours around the ground, visiting the new Hall of Fame area, the dressing rooms, dug outs and pitch side before a look in the Directors area, board room, control room and press rooms.

Tours will run at 11am and 1pm on Friday 16th August and cost just £5 per adult and £2 for under 16s. Once again, Junior Yellows members can enjoy the tours for FREE; just bring your membership card along on the day.

Chris Williams, the club's Communications Manager said:

"We wanted to give people the chance to see behind the scenes at the training ground and at the stadium. Both of these come in the summer holidays when people may be looking for something a little different to do as a family.

" I know that Chris Wilder and the players are looking forward to meeting the fans at the training session, and we are looking forward just as much to showing people around the stadium that week."

We will be running the tours in every school holiday so there will be further opportunities to visit the stadium throughout the season. Look out for details of the October half term tours at a later date.
