We look forward to Saturday's first pre-season game
United will send their full squad to Ardley United on Saturday as they start their pre-season games.
The U's are two weeks into their preparations for the new season and have worked hard on fitness and team bonding with trips to train with Wigan Warriors and the Royal Marines. After another week of intensive work on the training ground United will now look to take that hard work on to the pitch in the first of their pre-season matches.
The U's will field different sides n each half at Ardley with new signings Dave Kitson, Josh Shama, Tom Newey, Asa Hall, Danny Rose, Jon Meades and David Hunt are all likely to play 45 minutes. Ryan Clarke will play at least a half after making a full recovery from his shoulder injury with Max Crocombe now back with the squad after playing for New Zealand in the under 20's World Cup.
One or two trialists may be given a chance in a game which will see the first appearance of United's brand new home kit. Look out for the new look online shop tomorrow to pre-order your kit.
The Opposition
Ardley have a United legend in their dugout in Milk Cup hero Kevin Brock. The former England under 21 international is about to begin his sixth season in charge of the Hellenic League side but will be without former United youth team defender Adam Garner who is unavailable for this game.
Ardley ended last season in fifth place in their league.

From M40 Junction 10 take B430 towards Middleton Stoney the ground is on the right hand side after 600 metres.
From Oxford
Head Northbound on the A34,passing the Kidlington turning,and continue towards the M40. Go past the Little Chef and M&S services,and then past the turning for Islip. At the next slip road exit take B430 exit,and follow the signs through Weston-on-the-Green & Middleton Stoney, again following the M40 signs.
As you enter Ardley village, take the turning on the left hand side, just after passing The Fox and Hounds pub on your right.
This will take you into the main village. The entrance to the ground and car park is just on your right hand side, through the black gates.
