Rovers Return

6 February 2013

U's look for a repeat of the opening day as they welcome Bristol Rovers

United take on Bristol Rovers at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday looking for a repeat of their opening day win at the Memorial Ground.

Goals from Alfie Potter and Jake Forster-Caskey got United's league campaign off to a flying start back in August and the U's will be looking for more of the same this weekend. Rovers have rallied under new boss John Ward, losing just once since the turn of the year and earning a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham last night thanks to a stunning last minute strike from Oliver Norburn.

It promises to be another exciting afternoon of football with the U's hoping to have midfielder Lewis Montrose available for his home debut. The on-loan Gillingham midfielder has missed the last two games with a slight hamstring problem but could come into contention following fellow midfielder Peter Leven's exploratory operation which will keep him sidelined for the next couple of months.

Tickets are available right now from where you can take a look at the view from your seat before you decide, or call 01865 337533 to book. Advance bookings save you time as well as money on the day.
