Players Visit the Children's Hospital

First team squad help spread Christmas cheer

United’s players helped spread a little Christmas cheer yesterday as they visited the staff and patients at the Oxford Children’s Hospital.

The first team squad spent a couple of hours going from ward to ward to meet  youngsters and distribute armfuls of toys, games and presents which fans had donated. The players chipped in with stacks of DVDs for the wards  and chatted happily to parents and families of the children who are all hoping to be home for Christmas.

Captain Jake Wright said. “The staff at the Children’s Hospital do such a fantastic job and will be working all the way through Christmas. It was nice to see a few smiles from the kids on the wards and we enjoyed meeting everyone.”

The club would like to thank all the fans who donated presents and gifts for this fantastic occasion and wish everyone at the Children’s Hospital a very Merry Christmas.

Staff and patients were also given the chance to come along on Boxing Day for The Big Match as United welcome Plymouth Argyle. It is going to be a fantastic Christmas occasion so call 01865 337533 or visit www.oufctickets.co.uk to join Oxford's biggest Christmas party
