Dagenham Preview

13 December 2013

A full guide to this weekend's big game

We look ahead to tomorrow's big home match against Dagenham and Redbridge.

Team News
United welcome back Jake Wright, Sean Rigg and Michael Raynes after injury as they take on the Daggers. With Johnny Mullins returning for the win at Wrexham and Deane Smalley fit again, United are starting to get experienced players back at a key time, although Andy Whing, Alfie Potter and Jon Meades will not be back until the New Year.

Log on to Yellow Player to see a full Preview Show and Chris Wilder's views ahead of the game.

The Opposition

After a good win over Wycombe last time out, Wayne Burnett's side are handily placed in ninth, just two points off the play-offs. Burnett and Chris Wilder are former teammates and know each other well but Wilder has history on his side in meetings between the two sides - Dagenham's 3-2 win at the Kassam Stadium last season was their first victory in seven meetings between the clubs.

Tickets are available at advance prices via the phones or via where you can pick your exact seat and see the approximate view from that seat. The phonelines are open on 01865 337533 or call in person at the Ticket Office.

Special Guest
United legend Cyril Beavon is our guest tomorrow. Cyril played over 500 games for the U's as they rose from the Southern League to the Football League and will be meeting fans and hosting a Q&A session in the 12th Man Bar from 1.30pm.

The 12th Man has produced a limited edition of 100 t-shirts to mark James Constable's 100 goals. Another great Christmas present- get yours from the bar tomorrow.

Be well read...

This week's Matchday Magazine features a full-length interview with Johnny Mullins, who has been outstanding as stand-in skipper in the absence of Jake Wright. Jake himself features as he gives us an in-depth look at his career and how it brought him to Oxford United.

All this will cost you just £3 (including a copy of Saturday's Oxford Mail) from sellers around the ground, or you can download a copy from our website at where you can also purchase back issues.
