Kitson comes Back

22 August 2013

Striker returns as United welcome Wycombe

Dave Kitson will return to the United squad as the U’s welcome Wycombe Wanderers to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.

The vastly experienced striker missed Saturday’s win at Torquay after a blow to the ribs against Bury the week before but has returned to full training and is in line for a return as United try and extend their three game winning start to the season.

“Dave will be involved” Manager Chris Wilder told Yellow Player. “Credit to the forwards last week because we are a strong squad and we are scoring goals at the moment but Dave is a big player and it will be good to have him back, whether he starts or is on the bench.

“Sadly Sean Rigg misses out. He is looking at six to eight weeks on the sidelines with his hamstring problem but that open the door for someone else to come in and play their part.”

Tickets are on sale now for this game. Just call 01865 337533 or visit to book your place as United look to stay top of the table.
