Aldershot Preview

7 December 2012

We look ahead to Saturday's big game

We look ahead to tomorrow's npower League 2 game at home to Aldershot Town.

Team News
United welcome Tom Craddock, Peter Leven and Tony Capaldi back into the squad as the Shots come to town. Craddock has missed the last three weeks with a rib problem while Leven and Capaldi were rested for the trip to Plymouth in midweek. All three are included but Andy Whing and JP Pittman join Deane Smalley and Michael Duberry on the injured list.

Damian Batt and Liam Davis both returned to the starting line up at Plymouth and are included once more as United look to make it five games unbeaten.

See Chris Wilder and a full Preview show in Yellow Player.

The Opposition

There are three former United players in the Shots squad who will be looking to impress against their old club. Anthony Tonkin, Danny Rose and Josh Payne will all be looking forward to a return to the Kassam Stadium as will top scorer Craig Reid who spent a pre-season with the U's before going on to make his name elsewhere.

Aldershot enjoyed a fine win at Fleetwood in the FA Cup last weekend and are undefeated in their last five away games.

Be Well Read...

Tomorrow's matchday magazine is another top edition, featuring the usual wide range of articles, interviews, news and stats that you've come to expect.

However, there's also a more sombre note than usual as we pay tribute to Mitchell Cole, this week's cover portrait.

Our main interview feature is with Michael Raynes, and we also catch up with Alfie Potter, with James Constable ensconced in Room 101. Chris Hackett and Yemi Odubade go head to head in the Home Grown v Foreign Legion article, and Olly the Ox gives you the opportunity to win a download of the new album by Madness 'Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da'.

All this and much, much more can be yours for just £3 from outlets around the ground, where you can also pick up a free copy of tomorrow's Oxford Mail with every purchase (while stocks last).

If you miss out you can get your copy from mbrodetsky@oufc.co.uk or by calling 01865 337523. Or why not subscribe to ensure that you never miss out on a copy of the matchday magazine? A half-season subscription costs just £36 (plus postage) and we'll even throw in two free back issues to ensure you can complete your collection and have no embarrassing gaps in the image on the spine.

Contact Martin Brodetsky on the above email address or phone number for further details.
