Youngsters lose out in season opener
United's under 18 side started their league campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
The youngsters gave a decent account of themselves in their season opener but came up just short as Manager Chris Allen told www.oufc.co.uk:
"It was a close game and we did OK. To be totally honest it had 0-0 written all over it but then their lad has hit a cross with pace and it couldn't have gone any better into the top corner. It was one of those fluke goals you get but there are no excuses and we should have got more out of the game based on a few chances we created and some decent team play.
"We started the game very brightly but didn't capitalise on that and came away with nothing from a game we perhaps should have won."
