Early team news as United get ready for the big kick off

United kick off the new npower League 1 season at Bristol Rovers this Saturday.
Boosted by a dramatic penalty win over AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night, Chris Wilder's side will be looking to start their league campaign with a win, and report no new knocks and strains after Tuesday.
Striker Jon-Paul Pittman remains a doubt with a stomach strain but United have now received international clearance for Welsh defender Alex Evans who comes straight into the squad, with youth team captain Sam Long likely to travel with the under 18 squad for their game at Plymouth on Saturday morning.
United look like taking a bumper away crowd once again, with all seats sold and remaining terrace spaces selling well. Fans are reminded that this game is ALL TICKET with none available on the day of the match so contact the ticket office on 01865 337533 to avoid missing out on the big kick off.
Yellow Player has a long, in depth, interview with former Rovers keeper Ryan Clarke as well as Chris Wilder's pre-match thoughts. Log on now to view those and hear the whole game live on Saturday afternoon.
