We look forward to tonight's Capital One Cup game

The U’s
United will be without midfielder Lee Cox and will wait on the fitness of both Jake Forster-Caskey and Deane Smalley before naming their side at Elland Road tonight.

Cox has a groin problem which will keep him out of Saturday’s trip to York as well, and since he is ineligible to play against Swindon Town next Wednesday he will be targeting the following game, at home to Exeter City for his comeback.

Forster-Caskey picked up an ankle injury in a fierce tackle during Saturday’s win over Plymouth while Smalley injured his groin in the same game, in which he scored twice. Both were substituted at half-time and have been undergoing intensive treatment.

Simon Heslop stands by to continue in Forster-Caskey’s absence while James Constable and Jon-Paul Pittman would contest the vacant forward place if Smalley fails to recover in time.

With Andy Whing, Peter Leven, Harry Worley, Liam Davies and former Leeds defender Michael Duberry still sidelined youngsters Sam Long and David Lynn have travelled with the squad as cover.

The Opposition
There is added family pressure on Leeds Manager Neil Warnock, who has promised daughter Amy he will do his best to take Leeds to Wembley this year. “I’ve told Amy we’d try and win the cup this year!” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It will be a great game, I’m sure, because Oxford will be playing some good stuff because they are top of the league.” Warnock continued, more seriously. “I’m sure Oxford will lift things and be up for the challenge, so we’ll have to be ready.
“When you are underdogs coming to Elland Road, you always lift your game and play well normally. It’s just all about winning in Tuesday if we can.”
