Gatlin burst onto the scene in December 2020, when he became United’s youngest-ever player to make a first-team competitive appearance in an EFL Trophy tie against Forest Green Rovers. In March 2022 he joined Oxford City on loan and in November 2022 he scored his first goal for the club, having signed his first pro contract in August.
