United back the Stars for 2014/15
Oxford United are proud to be backing the Oxford City Stars in their 2014/15 season.The U's are literally backing the Stars, with the Oxford United club logo being featured on the back of the new Oxford City Stars home and away shirts for season 2014/15.
The partnership will expand further this season when the “Oxfordshire United” Fixture returns, following on from the success of the event last year. On a soon to be announced fixture, Oxford City Stars tickets will be available for reduced admission for all Oxford United season and match day ticket holders, and for the first time in their history, the Stars will play the match in a one off Yellow and Blue kit.
Oxford City Stars normal kit and this one off yellow and blue special will be available online and also in the Oxford United club shop to order in September.
United’s Head Coach Michael Appleton said “It is great to see the two clubs working together. A number of our fans have told me how well the Stars have been doing and everyone at the club wishes them well for their season.”
Stars Head of Marketing added “To have the support of Oxford United, with their size and fan base is fantastic, a vast percentage of our core fanbase are United fans and both clubs share a desire for local excellence or community focus, of which this partnership provides”
Oxford City Stars are Oxford’s top Ice Hockey team, playing out of the Oxpens Road Ice Rink.
