Oxford United Women return to WSL 2 action

Oxford United Women return to WSL 2 action this Sunday when they welcome Watford Ladies to Abingdon United, kick-off 2pm.

United's last league match was a 2-1 win against Durham on 29th June, since when they have been involved in Continental Cup action. That win hauled Oxford above Durham and United will be looking to return to winning ways against Watford, who currently sit in eighth place, four points ahead of the U's.

Oxford manager Les Taylor, who played for Watford after leaving United in the 1980s, is relishing the return to league action, saying: "With each week that passes we look more at home in this division and looking at the table you can see how close it all is. A couple of wins could see any team quickly climb the league so there is still everything to play for."

Admission to the game is £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s and over-65s. So come along and support the women and watch some great football in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
