Fun in the sun before the big game
Oxford United fans are invited to join us for a pre-match drink and barbecue ahead of Saturday’s final home league match against Wycombe Wanderers.With the U's looking to end the season by sealing promotion it promises to be an amazing day and a sell-out crowd will be there to cheer on Michael Appleton and his team.
Fans coming to the game are invited to join us at Littlemore Rugby Club, beside the Oxford Academy before the game where Chairman Darryl Eales and the Board will be hosting a fans get together.
There will be plenty to eat and drink with giant barbecues providing a range of delicious food, a fully stocked bar plus a range of activities for all the family including:
* Walking football sessions
* Mascots Olly, Olivia and George
* A Soccercise/Football Fitness session
* Skills sessions with our Community coaches
There will also be one last chance to get a picture taken with the Milk Cup as we end our 30th Anniversary season, and the club shop will be on site with scarves, flags and shirts to help you show your colours at the match including the new Oxford United/Headington United half and half scarf.
Oxford United staff will be there for a chat and all proceeds from food and drink will go directly to the club. The day is a pilot for what may become a regular occurrence so come and have a beer, a bite to eat, and prepare for the big match with us.
The event is FREE and starts at noon. There is car parking and the Academy is a ten minute stroll to the ground.
In order to help with orders for food and drink it would be very helpful to have a rough idea of numbers attending the event. If you are planning on being there please let us know HERE
The barbecue takes place at Littlemore Rugby Club/The Oxford Academy, which is OX4 4NH.
The event starts at noon.
Parking is limited at the barbecue so fans are advised to park in the overflow car park at the stadium and make the short walk. From the overflow car park next to Gala Bingo at the Kassam Stadium, go under the railway bridge and follow the signs and arrows that will be in place on the day.
