Oxford United will be backed by one of their biggest away crowds of the season as the Yellow Army get behind Michael Appleton’s side at Carlisle on Saturday.Close to 1,600 fans have already booked their place for the game at Brunton Park this Saturday and it could well surpass the current highest following on the road, the 2,047 who saw the U’s beat Portsmouth at Fratton Park in January.
Michael Appleton popped into the ticket office this morning to thank the ticket office staff for all their hard work this season and make them a well deserved cuppa: United have already SOLD OUT of tickets for next Saturday’s home game against Wycombe Wanderers
At time of writing 1,000 terrace places had been sold and 586 seats. 879 seats remain on sale.
And if you are coming then join the Board for a free hotdog and a pint in a specially designated pre-match pub on Saturday.
United Chairman Darryl Eales has paid for 1,000 hotdogs and a pint, or soft drink, at The Magpie Inn, which is a five-minute walk from the ground.
The United Board will then join the Yellow Army on the away terrace to cheer on the team together.
The away and family friendly pub, which has a large beer-garden and parking, has agreed to welcome the travelling Yellow Army from midday.
One voucher per United fan will be issued to supporters who visit the Magpie Inn pre-match. The London Road coaches will drop off any fans who wish to join the Board for a drink at the pub en route to the ground.
