U's Support Oxford Food Bank on Saturday

Help us help those in need as we take on Pompey

14 January 2019

Oxford United have teamed up with Oxvox to help provide some much needed support for the Oxford Food Bank this Saturday when we take on league leaders Portsmouth.

The Oxford Food Bank collect unsold fresh food from supermarkets and deliver it free to over 80 Oxfordshire Charities.

On Saturday we will be helping them with a food bank at each of the turnstiles and asking fans to donate any food they can spare for such a great cause.

There will be a steward and Oxvox member on each of the seven turnstiles, each with a trolley, as well as a collection point in the downstairs bar in the South Stand.

No need to worry if you forget to bring any food along- there will be collection buckets where fans can make a cash donation.

What we are looking for is for is donations of food or drink that you would eat yourself- nothing out of date or inedible. All donations will go directly to people who genuinely need it so packaging need to be clearly labelled.

A reminder that Saturday's game is ALL TICKET. Portsmouth have sold out of their full allocation which should make for a great atmosphere, but with that in mind you need to have been on the Oxford United database since before Christmas, and have a purchase history with us, to buy tickets in the home areas. No tickets will be on sale on the day of the game.
